Into the Unknown: Coordinator
A downloadable Sci-Fi 5E Class
The Coordinator is a Charisma-based support class for Into the Unknown and other sci-fantasy TTRPGs, perfect for players who want to take command without ever stepping into the spotlight. Whether they're shouting from the sidelines, reassigning resources mid-battle, or rewriting the initiative order like a spreadsheet, Coordinators turn paperwork into power.
You won't find them leading a charge or swinging the biggest combat blade, but if you're looking to optimise your team, outmanoeuvre the enemy, and weaponise efficiency itself, this is your class.
Class Highlights:
Coordinated Encouragement – Tactical support that inspires allies mid-fight
Redistribute Order – Store unused actions and bonus actions, then reassign them to where they’ll be most effective.
Bureaucratic Protocols – Use reaction-based directives to bolster allies, debuff enemies, and control the chaos of combat like a bureaucratic puppet master.
Specialities (Subclasses):
Arsenal Coordinator – For when your team needs to hit harder and ignore resistances.
Expedition Coordinator – take control of exploration with logistical planning and reroute team movement like a backstreet driver from hell.
Assessment Coordinator – Declare enemies Marked for Execution, then systematically dismantle them with precision debuffs and battlefield condemnation.
Includes:
Full progression from level 1–20
3 unique Coordinator Specialities
“They don’t command anything. They just make you want to end the fight faster… so you don’t have to listen to them anymore.”
This Class is extracted from Into the Unknown: Murphy’s Field Guide. If you like it, feel free to check out the full player's book.
All Into the Unknown books are currently unillustrated. As I’m not an artist, and I don’t feel comfortable using AI-generated art, I’ve chosen to focus on writing and design first.
One day, I hope to commission artwork that reflects the tone of the setting, something that feels aged, forgotten, and water-damaged. The final visual style will be intentionally distressed: blotchy, faded, and drained of most colour, like a relic uncovered in a ruined archive.
