Into the Unknown: Weekly Dev Log 4

Hello everyone,

First, a quick update on dev logs: instead of posting three times a week across all Into the Unknown projects, I’ll now be posting a single weekly dev log on the Into the Unknown bundle page. This will help me stay focused and avoid burnout while continuing steady progress.

This week’s focus has been on making the game more accessible for new players. Earlier versions of the project only included the basic 5E rules ported into the setting. In the next version, I’ll be expanding and rewriting many of these rules to better fit the tone and playstyle of Into the Unknown, so that new players can dive in with confidence.

Also, I’ve now officially launched my Ko-fi page, where all Into the Unknown content is currently available. I’ve also set a funding goal, the first step toward eventually commissioning illustrations for the project.

In addition, I’ve started working on a new random encounter table to pair with the updated downtime path navigation system. This will eventually replace the current scanning and exploration path. It might not be ready by the end of this month, but if time allows after higher-priority goals, I’ll do my best to include it.
