Into the Unknown: Origins of the Setting
Hello everyone, I thought today I would post about how Into the Unknown came to be.
I first came up with the concept of Into the Unknown three years ago while playing one of my favourite games, Stellaris. As always, I was getting absolutely destroyed by one of the endgame crises, and I thought to myself, who would want to live in this galaxy even if I win?
That is when I came up with the concept for my next campaign. Set in a galaxy that was completely destroyed and my players would be among the last survivors trying to survive and find a new home.
Originally, it was called Trials of the Fortuna. Over time, the concept evolved, the setting shifted, and eventually it became Into the Unknown. But the core theme never changed: grim survival against all odds.
