Into the Unknown: First Steps (Weekend Dev Log 03)

Hello, everyone. As I enter the refinement stage for the end-of-June update, I wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at a visual design change coming to Into the Unknown.

One of my goals for the final product has always been to make it feel like a water-damaged, well-worn book, something that’s been through a few spacefaring adventures of its own. To start bringing that vision to life, I’ve begun applying a new page texture using Printable Vinted Pages by Digital Curio, which I purchased on Creative Market.

Right now, I haven’t implemented unique textures for each page, which will come in the final release. As a temporary solution, I’ve chosen my favourite water-damaged page and applied it as a watermark across the current content. You can see some example previews below.
